There’s also a free version of the software, which has fewer features, but is still impressive with powerful colour grading tools and is ideal for less demanding users. The usual suspects in the pro video editor market are Adobe Premiere Pro and Apple Final Cut Pro, but Davinci Resolve is right up alongside them in our list of the best video editing software.
The DaVinci Resolve Studio interface is unique when compared to competitors because the software is split into ‘pages’, which are areas for performing different tasks. The public beta of DaVinci Resolve 18.5 adds some great new features, such as Relight FX. The Cut page also develops with each new release, becoming a powerful alternative to the traditional Edit page.
